Of course River Road wind can't compare to the west coast winds, but today was another headwind/evil cross fest. I got in about 3 and a half hours, and i finished just wasted. Ran into Steve and Team Ripple (Jan, Shelly and Kate) in the loop. We met up with Shawn P. and eventually Taylor.
There seemed to be a lot of riders out even though it was supposed to rain. For the 4th or 5th time this year I thwarted the weathermen by carrying my rain jacket.

Concerning the "west Coast winds"...Is simply quoting the weatherman legitimate grounds for "complaining" about the wind...Or, must one actually ride in them? :)
I took the bike out for the first time in 2006. Felt like I was pulling a 50-pound weight. Looked back and I was: VO2Max in his Burley Bee. It was windy here too.
